We caught up with Philip Vandenberg to find out more and explore the secrets behind the firm’s success. Established in 2000, Bravanark has since flourished, and today the firm assists its clients with ensuring full compliance with both health and safety and fire legislation. Philip explains how the firm tailors its support to meet the needs of each individual client. “Supporting a wide range of clients, here at Bravanark our work entails assessing each individual clients’ company in relation to the health and safety needs and how they are applying the needs to their business. This means that we look at all their current documentation and the training of their employees as is required by the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. With the information we gather we are able to advice our clients on how to ensure compliance and, where necessary, advise them what can be done that is reasonably practicable, giving the balance of benefits to the cost, effort or time to implement. A full action plan is produced to help our clients to carry out any remedial actions required. This supportive approach ensures that they receive the support they need throughout their time working with us.” This client-focused, collaborative and communicative approach is critical to the firm’s mission, as Philip is keen to showcase. “Our overall aim, is to ensure that all out clients no matter who they are receive the same individual care. Every company has their own requirements and it is our objective to ensure that these requirements are met. The requirement could be a full Method statement within a small- time frame to a training session for up to 100 employees. “No matter what it is we discuss the requirements with our clients and assure them that it can be done. We have over 24 years of experience within this field, so we can deliver; if however we feel that it is beyond our capabilities we will tell the client and assist in finding the right person for the task.” Moving forward, Philip has exciting plans for Bravanark to help the firm grow and thrive, as he is proud to conclude. “Looking to the future, at Bravanark we aim to aspire to becoming the best health and safety consultancy for clients of all sizes and types, not just SMEs. To achieve this, we are keen to remain at the forefront of emerging developments in the market. One of these developments is E-Learning, which we believe is the way forward for a lot of refresher training but not for initial training. We offer over 10 different e-learning packages, which we are proud of. We find that we are being approached from all industries to deliver these courses worldwide.
