CORPORATE VISION / Issue 10 2019 21 , Stobart Energy boosts commercial development with Viridor hire Former Viridor Commercial Manager Neil Spencer has joined Stobart Energy as it works to boost relationships with both existing and new commercial partners. Neil’s career spans more than 15 years in commercial development across waste, recycling and renewable energy supply chains. He joins Stobart Energy as Commercial Sales Director and most recently worked with Viridor as a senior member of its team leading significant commercial projects and taking responsibility for relationships with supply chain partners and customers. Neil also works closely with Universities and NGO’s, including the Ellen MacAr- thur Foundation, to further develop how business can contribute to a more sustainable future. Stobart Energy is the UK’s num- ber one supplier of waste fuel, with long-term contracts in place to supply a range of Energy Re- covery Facilities, generating re- newable energy equivalent to the annual domestic electricity needs of 2% of the UK population. It offers a number of solutions from municipal and commercial waste collection through to operating Energy Recovery Facilities (and everything in between). At Stobart Energy, Neil will take on a newly created position designed to enable the business to deliver its strategic goals by developing opportunities across the Energy from Waste supply chain with both new and existing customers.
