Ressmeyer is a commercial litigator who represents corporate clients in high-stakes litigations and international arbitrations throughout the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. She is a founding partner of Oberdier Ressmeyer LLP, which was recently recognised as “2017 Boutique Litigation Practice of the Year” by Corporate LiveWire and “2017 Boutique Law Firm of the Year” by the ACQ5 Global Awards. Ms. Ressmeyer focuses her practice on disputes involving cross-border contracts, business torts, intellectual property, shareholder derivative claims, securities litigation, economic espionage, and RICO. Her her current and previous clients include foreign state- owned entities, publicly traded companies, one of the world’s largest banks, one of the world’s largest steel manufacturers, three of China’s largest asset management companies, an Italian construction manager, and a Hong Kong investment holding company. In 2017, she was principally responsible for matters involving an aggregate of $3.5 billion in claims. Ms. Ressmeyer also maintains an active pro bono practice. Over the past ten years, Ms. Ressmeyer has worked with pro- democracy movements abroad— volunteering on teams in foreign conflict zones, and serving as a consultant to constitutional drafting committees and other members of the peace process in developing democracies. She has also sponsored youth and leadership development programs for refugees who have resettled in the United States. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Ressmeyer served as a post-graduate research fellow at the Center for Constitutional Democracy in Plural Societies. In addition, Ms. Ressmeyer also clerked for the Hon. Marvin J. Garbis (D. Md.), and Hon. Robert H. Henry and Hon. Stephanie K. Seymour of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. In addition to being named “Most Outstanding Female Attorney 2018 – New York”, Ms. Ressmeyer was named “Female Lawyer of the Year” by the ACQ5 Global Awards 2017. She is a six-time recipient of the “Super Lawyers – Rising Stars – Metro New York” and “New York Metro Top Women Lawyers” designation.
