Bringing Out the Best in its People A global company with a unique vision, Sintetica S.A. focuses on creating strategic partnerships to deliver injectable anaesthetics and analgesics. To celebrate the organisation’s win in our 2018 Small Business Awards we invited AugustoMitidieri to talk us through the company’s latest developments and how these have contributed to its ongoing success. Established 1921 in Switzerland, Sintetica is a pharmaceutical company delivering injectable anaesthetics and analgesics to patients worldwide, through innovative science and excellence in development, production and marketing. Beginning in 2012, the firm established the global division, which was the first international corporate structure. The global division was tasked with pursuing international growth under two distinct models, being a B2B licensing strategy and somewhat later a B2C strategy in select markets. Under the B2B model, Sintetica licensed out its top brands to partners with whom it shared values. Foremost among these values is that people and relationships, including business relationships, come first, thus Sintetica and the partners share same values. As such, all of the firm’s partners must meet strict ethical criteria and share its innovation driven ‘quality without compromise’ value proposition. This was the most critical and difficult challenge that Sintetica has faced since starting its internationalization efforts, however this has since been successful. Today, Sintetica has submitted more than 400 product registrations in over 100 different countries via the network of partners it has built over the last five years. Year-on-year the firm’s Global Division growth is exceeding 100%, consolidating the impressive growth stream of the last years.
